Today we were fishing with Patrick Boyce, Joe Crostic, Ed Nowe, from St. James,NC, with them was John P. Fenstermaker from Washington,DC.
The weather man really missed this one today. About the time we got to where we were going to start fishing, the winds picked up and switched directions.
Since we were at the 350's, this hardy group caught a good variety of fish with Black Bass, Triggerfish, Grouper, Grey Snappers, Silver Snappers, Vermillion Snappers, Sharks, and AJ's.
We were stopped on one rock and I tied on a Eastern Tackle 240 gram Jig in green and chartruse and dropped it down and it was attacked, and I mean attacked, the 150 lb. braid was no match, it broke!!!
This happened two more times, I don't know what they were, but they were big and powerful!!!!
