Season change brings great fishing, Capt. Shawn

Hey Guy's,
Well here we are in Nov. and I am still not sure we are in fall yet. It is hard to say when it is in the 90's but we do have another cold front on it's way and it seems with the two cold snaps we have had it has really improved the fishing, each time a little more so. I would expect this one to be no different. We are still slamming the big Spanish mackerel, kingfish, snapper, and grouper when I head out off the beaches and with each passing cold front the grouper seem to be getting closer and closer. As for the inshore fish, well they are pretty much doing the same thing. As fronts pass and the water temp. drops they turn on  and bunch up to make them an easy target. Wether it be snook, trout, or reds they are all out there and it seems there are more of them with each passing cold front. This past week we did a little of all the above starting off with heading off the beaches for snapper and king fish and then heading into the bay for some big Spanish mackerel and then onto the flats for snook, reds, and trout.
I believe we are going to start getting more and more cold fronts moving through and that should really pick things up on the inshore as well as the offshore fishing. Season changes are one of the biggest driving forces that move all these fish and when they move they are burning energy in turn causing them to eat and the faster they move the more they eat and the more we catch. I think this is going to be a fast season change as late as it is and before we know it we will be stacking on the layers to stay warm so don't miss this season change as we are getting later and later in the year. Until next time.
                   Sincerely,
                         Capt. Shawn Crawford
