Still fishing the Access Canals in Leeville and continuing to find Specks, Reds and White Trout. If you are in to night fishing, you can catch at the lights by the access ramps, under the ramps. You can’t fish off of the bridge, but you can get to the spots by boat. Were still fishing live ****ahoes, Carolina rigged, Capt. Monroe’s Specktaculure, and Tsunami 3” Sea Trout plastics. When we are not in the access canals, we are in the Cut Through Canal off of Deep Bayou working the Bull Redfish. Woody and Flo Johnston’s friends from the West Coast, Bob and Betty, ended up catching the biggest Redfish of their lives. Mike and Beau from East Ascension S O ended up fishing Monday and Tuesday and caught nice Specks and Whites and Redfish, in the access Canal off of the Southwest canal, on the east side of Leeville.
This week on Between the Banks we are fishing with Chad and Maria Phares and their precious girls, Addison and Payton. Chef Chad and Maria own and operate Phares’ Oyster, Seafood, & Steakhouse in Lafayette. They fed us the whole time we were on location with them, and the food was outstanding. I fell in love with the girls and the Shrimp Beignets. If you ever find yourself hungry in Lafayette, stop in and tell them Bob sent you. You won’t be disappointed. We are fishing inside around the calm, Leigh edges of Little Lake, Deep Bayou, and the Southwest Canal.
Coming up on Between the Banks, the Espanan family break the heavy south wind to catch some Specks on the North side of Casse Tete, Pelican, and Philo Brice Islands before we get blown out and hit the Bulls in the Cut Through Canal. It’s the A Team, Al, Artie, and Andy catching a nice mess of Specks. You can catch all of the action on LCN Telivision Network and louisianasportsman.com on the Internet. Don’t forget the up coming Boy Scouts Tournament on Nov. 7th at Seaway Marina in Lafitte. BTB will be there. In the meantime good luck fishing…BOB
