Reds are moving in as well as a season change.

Hey Guy's,
Well, the red fish are back and I mean really back. This past week we KILLED the reds every day I was out with catches of 50 - 75 reds a day up to 35". It is a little early from last year and maybe that means an early winter but who knows. I do know the snook and trout have been moving back in from the beaches as well with the water temp. down to 80 - 81 deg. Here is the good news the best is yet to come. As we get closer to fall we will continue to see improvements in the inshore as well as the off shore and near shore fishing. The snapper are still going off as well and the kings should be making their run south here pretty soon as well. The bait is all over the beach and is also moving back in on the flats thick and this is always the first sign of a change of season. The grouper are still doing good off shore along with yellow tail and mangrove snapper. The greater and lesser AJ's are still out about 30 miles but they too will be moving in closer as the water temp falls. I have still been getting dolphin on just about every trip out  but they can be finicky on some days. There has been days that we catch 10 - 30 of them then other days we will get one on with the rest of the school all around the boat and the one we have on is the only one we get. I guess that is why they call it fishing. I haven't seen any more sail fish but a friend of mine just got one on Sun out in the same area I have been going so I know there are more out there. This has been an exciting summer to say the least and I believe the fall will be even more exciting so lets get together and plan your early fall trip. Until next time,
