Light winds greeted us as we hit Breton Sound early today. We went deep to an old shell pad I have not fished in years. It was fish on as soon as we started with live shrimp carolina rigged and artificial cocahoes. These fish wanted the bait slow twitched over the shells on the bottom. Nice trout but no big girls in the bunch. Squalls started building up off to the East and eventually skirted us both to the North and South. We only experienced a breif period of drizzle while we continued to fish. After the front, the winds followed and we headed to protected waters. Set up on a flat adjacent to an inside lagoon and caught more trout until the still threating rain finally ran us in early. The fishing remains good in spite of the West winds the last few days. The water color is dingy and really low, but the action is steady. Good luck out there!
