Well sir.... here it is, the rays have shown up and the cobes are with'em. I am a new'bie to all the nuances of the SPOT, CREEP, AND CAST, method of RAY/COBE fishing. I have caught alot of Cobes, and have followed a lot of rays, but have never refined the method like alot of these seasoned guys. Please what ever you do, DO NOT APPROACH A BOAT WHEN THEY HAVE SLOWED DOWN TO CAST ON A RAY! YOU WOULD NOT WANT SOMEONE TO DO THAT TO YOU! Pogies are thick from the Holiday Inn south in 20 to 30 feet of water. nose hook a pogie on a 1/2 oz. jighead and 40lb. leader, ease up to the ray and look for cobes, if you see one cast to the side of the ray, the cobe will see it. The cobe has to be a least 33 inches from the fork. Look for Cobe in 40 to 50 ft of water! Good Luck! and Tight Lines!! Capt Jeff
