King County (Lake Washington) fishing report
Permalink

I am a little frustrated with my fishing Lake Washington today and yesterday. The past two days I have been granted permission to fish all day, which was awesome! However, I yielded only one Cutt each day (18" and 181/2") I realize that not getting skunked is priority number one and I am glad that I caught something. I have been fishing this Lake for the last 5 years or so and usually I do pretty good in Late July and August, I usually use a chartruess splatter back dick night or wedding rings with ford fenders or a variety of pop gear. These past two days indicate that something might be different. I have been following G-man's posts and quadfather(?), and another guy that seems to have this lake figured out. I have also tried Apex lures but I think something is not right, Perhaps my flasher (hot spot mini) and where I put it next to my clip is off (10')? or how long should the leader be? and do you tip the apex with a worm? red hooks? who knows but if anyone wants to give me advice I would be very grateful. I would like to know so many things like size and type flasher Gman is using and size of Apex lure. Or how far the leader of the wedding ring should be past pop gear. I also noticed that these Cutts had had what appears to be Sockeye or salmon smolts not the other bait fish swimming around. I also caught about 5, what I think are 10" blackmouth, when I was at 40' and the cutts at 50'. Anyway thanks for all the reports and advice. Also if the guy in the green boat that showed me his string of fish this morning is reading I would like to say good job. I am the guy with the Green boat as well with a wakboard tower that has a downrigger mounted on it (you don't see that very often). Have a good week. Sorry no useful photo's
